Join Our Team as a Bank Mental Health Support Worker Location: Doncaster Role available: Bank – as and when required by the Service Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for an experienced and caring Mental Health Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Doncaster Crisis House CQC Registered Service, supporting people with severe and enduring mental health challenges.

Doncaster Crisis Accommodation and helpline provides short-term accommodation for people experiencing a mental health crisis. The service has 4 beds, which can be accessed for a maximum of 7 nights, during which time staff will provide emotional and practical support over a 24 hour period to assist people using the service to resolve their crisis.

The service works in partnership with the statutory Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team. We support people who are age 16 years upwards. How you will make a difference as a Mental Health Support Worker? In this role, I will support individuals on their recovery journey, helping them build skills, confidence and independence.

My work will include: Providing one‑to‑one key‑worker support and building positive, professional relationships Carrying out assessments and developing personalised support and safety plans Encouraging people to manage their mental and physical wellbeing Supporting individuals with daily living skills and accessing community services Liaising with mental health agencies, professionals and community groups Contributing to safeguarding and promoting a safe, supportive environment Keeping accurate records, monitoring progress and sharing information with the team Helping improve the service by offering feedback and supporting colleagues What we’re looking for: Experience supporting people with mental illness in a social care setting Great listening skills, empathy, patience, and kindness Ability to work with digital systems (Microsoft applications, email, internet) A commitment to our values and willingness to learn If you have transferable skills and a passion for helping others, we’d love to hear from you!
