About The Role

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Site IT Manager to lead IT operations for our Taiwan location, supporting local employees, engineering labs, local server rooms, network infrastructure, and end-user technology services. The role will manage a small local IT team while remaining hands-on with technical issues, infrastructure support, and project delivery.

The Site IT Manager will serve as the primary IT partner for local business and engineering teams. This individual will understand local requirements, translate them into actionable IT needs, prioritize demand, and coordinate with regional and HQ IT teams to troubleshoot issues and deploy solutions that meet business requirements and global IT standards.

The successful candidate will combine people leadership, service delivery discipline, broad IT operations experience, strong networking knowledge, practical systems expertise, and a hands-on mindset. The individual does not need to be the deepest technical expert in every infrastructure domain, but must be able to understand technical concepts, perform practical troubleshooting, communicate effectively with HQ engineering teams, and drive issues and projects to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Site IT Leadership and People Management Lead, coach, and develop a small local IT support team, establishing clear responsibilities, priorities, coverage, and escalation paths. Assign and prioritize team workload based on business impact, operational risk, project commitments, and service expectations. Promote strong customer service, accountability, documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the local IT team.

Ensure local IT activities follow company security, infrastructure, change management, and operational standards. Serve as the primary local escalation point for significant IT issues and coordinate the appropriate technical resources through resolution. Business Partnership and IT Demand Management Serve as the primary IT point of contact for Taiwan site leadership, business functions, and engineering teams.

Build effective relationships with local stakeholders and maintain regular communication regarding IT needs, issues, priorities, risks, and upcoming changes. Understand business and engineering requirements and translate them into clear technical requirements, support needs, or project requests. Collect, document, evaluate, and prioritize local IT demand, including new capabilities, infrastructure changes, equipment, access, and service requests.

Coordinate with HQ and regional IT teams to review requirements, identify solutions, obtain required approvals, and execute agreed implementations. Communicate realistic expectations, dependencies, risks, status, and resolution plans to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. IT Operations and Service Delivery Own day-to-day local IT operations and ensure reliable delivery of end-user, infrastructure, network, and site technology services.

Coordinate incident, service request, problem, escalation, and change management activities for the site. Monitor recurring issues, service performance, capacity, and operational risks, and drive corrective or preventive improvements. Maintain accurate operational documentation, support procedures, infrastructure diagrams, configuration information, and troubleshooting knowledge.

Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, workstation provisioning, access, and other local IT lifecycle activities with appropriate enterprise teams. Work with vendors, contractors, and service providers and ensure local work is completed safely, professionally, and according to requirements. IT Asset, Inventory, and Lifecycle Management Maintain accurate inventory and ownership records for local IT hardware, infrastructure equipment, peripherals, and other managed technology assets.

Coordinate equipment demand, procurement support, receiving, deployment, refresh, warranty, spare inventory, reuse, and secure disposal activities. Plan site technology needs proactively based on hiring, projects, engineering requirements, lifecycle status, capacity, and business demand. Ensure asset records and physical inventory remain aligned with company asset management and security requirements.

Network and Infrastructure Support Support and troubleshoot wired and wireless LAN, WAN connectivity, network services, and site infrastructure. Provide hands-on support for switches, network connectivity, server-room infrastructure, rack equipment, cabling, and related hardware when required. Understand enterprise networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, wireless, and Layer 2/Layer 3 troubleshooting.

Coordinate complex network incidents, design questions, configuration changes, and deployments with HQ network engineering teams. Maintain site network diagrams, rack information, cabling records, infrastructure documentation, and operational procedures. Monitor local infrastructure health and identify capacity, reliability, supportability, or lifecycle concerns before they impact the business.

Systems and Infrastructure Coordination Provide practical support and troubleshooting for Windows clients, Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, virtualization, storage, backup, and related infrastructure services. Perform appropriate first-level or hands-on troubleshooting, gather technical evidence, and engage HQ systems engineers for advanced diagnosis, architecture, or configuration changes.

Coordinate server, virtual machine, storage, backup, identity, and infrastructure requests with enterprise engineering teams. Support server-room equipment deployment, rack and stack activities, structured cabling, and physical connectivity when required. Engineering Lab Support Partner with local engineering teams to understand lab computing, network, connectivity, infrastructure, and equipment requirements.

Support lab-related IT incidents and deployments and coordinate specialized requirements with HQ engineering and infrastructure teams. Help ensure lab technology changes follow appropriate security, network, documentation, and change-control requirements. Provide hands-on troubleshooting in the engineering lab when appropriate and coordinate escalation for complex technical issues.

Project and Change Delivery Lead or support local IT projects involving infrastructure, office technology, engineering lab support, end-user services, network changes, and business technology deployment. Coordinate requirements, technical resources, implementation plans, testing, change requests, stakeholder communication, risk management, and operational handoff.

Work closely with HQ IT project managers, architects, engineers, security teams, and service owners to deliver solutions successfully. Remain hands-on during implementation and troubleshooting when local physical or technical support is required. Ensure completed projects include appropriate documentation, support ownership, and transition into normal operations.

End-User Technology Support Ensure effective support for Windows endpoints, Microsoft 365 services, applications, printers, peripherals, conference-room technology, and remote support needs. Provide direct hands-on support for priority, complex, or escalated user issues when needed. Coordinate workstation deployment, imaging, software installation, licensing, access, SSO, and MFA issues with the appropriate enterprise teams.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Approximately 7+ years of progressive enterprise IT experience, including broad exposure to infrastructure, networking, end-user services, and IT operations.
