Senior Finance Administrator

Join a high-volume finance team supporting 250+ venues Australian Venue Co. is looking for a detail-focused Senior Finance Administrator to join our Finance Administration team in Melbourne. This role will suit someone with experience in cash settlements, bank reconciliations and high-volume transaction environments who enjoys investigating issues, solving problems and keeping financial processes accurate and efficient.

About the role

Reporting to the Finance Administration Manager, you will be responsible for: Preparing bank, cash-in-transit and cash-clearing journals Completing weekly cash and tender clearing reconciliations Investigating and resolving reconciliation variances Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations Processing daily payment runs across the Group Preparing weekly cash variance reports Reviewing monthly cash floats from more than 210 venues Reviewing and processing petty cash receipts Reconciling venue debtors, functions, reservations and related receipts Supporting automated revenue data imports and troubleshooting issues Creating and maintaining reconciliation templates Assisting with external audits and finance projects Developing practical solutions to prevent recurring issues About you You will bring: At least two years’ experience in a similar finance administration, cash settlement or reconciliation role Experience working in a high-volume, multi-site retail or hospitality environment Strong understanding of POS systems and reconciliation processes Confidence investigating variances and resolving complex or recurring issues Strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent attention to detail and organisation The ability to adapt quickly to new systems and applications Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach Initiative, sound judgement and a positive attitude A commitment to providing responsive service to internal stakeholders Why join Australian Venue Co.?
