Job description
About Capital Dynamics:
Capital Dynamics is an independent global asset management firm focusing on private assets, including private equity (primaries, secondaries and direct investments) and clean energy.
Established in 1988, the Firm has extensive knowledge and experience developing solutions tailored to meet the exacting needs of a diverse and global client base of institutional and private wealth investors. Capital Dynamics oversees more than USD 14 billion in assets under management and advisement and employs approximately 150 professionals globally across 14 offices in Europe, North America, and Asia.
Capital Dynamics is a recognized industry leader in responsible investment, receiving top marks (Five Stars) from PRI across all categories and investment strategies, as well as in GRESB benchmarking for its clean energy strategy.
TECHNOLOGY AT CAPITAL DYNAMICS:
Our Technology department is responsible for the development, secure operation, maintenance and support of Capital Dynamics' global IT infrastructure and solutions — enabling employees to communicate, collaborate and automate routine tasks, while ensuring information security and compliance with company policy and relevant regulation.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
We're looking for a highly capable graduate to join our Technology department as Technology Support Analyst in New York — the primary technology contact for our New York office, and a genuinely hands-on role from the outset. Reporting to the CTO, you'll take real ownership of the stability and quality of our Microsoft 365 environment, end-user support across every business function, and the operational backbone of our core IT processes: provisioning, asset management, and break-fix resolution.
This is a designated development position: as your core competencies are established, you'll gain structured exposure to Capital Dynamics' data and AI programme — putting you at the centre of some of the most interesting technical work happening at the firm.
REAL OWNERSHIP, FROM DAY ONE:
This isn't a narrow, ticket-queue support seat. Our Technology function operates as a small, high-trust team, and you'll own outcomes end-to-end:
- Full ownership of Microsoft 365 configuration, permissions and housekeeping across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive — you'll be the firm's internal M365 subject matter expert.
- End-to-end ownership of user lifecycle management — provisioning, deprovisioning and access rights — for all New York-based staff.
- Direct contribution to the firm's live SharePoint infrastructure, as part of our broader data programme.
- Real autonomy to manage competing priorities without close supervision — and real visibility, since your work directly supports investment professionals and senior management.
YOUR PATH INTO DATA & AI:
Capital Dynamics is executing a material transformation of its data infrastructure and AI capability, spanning three workstreams: DataCore (a medallion lake-house architecture on Google Cloud Platform), Lattice (an agentic automation layer), and Meridian (a decision intelligence capability in planning).
As your core support responsibilities are established, you'll gain structured, hands-on exposure to the platforms powering this programme:
- V7Labs — the agentic automation platform through which AI agents are built, scheduled and governed across investment and operational workflows.
- Claude AI — the AI platform in active use across the firm for analysis, automation and document generation.
- Tamr — the machine learning-driven master data management and entity resolution platform underpinning the firm's data warehouse.
- Google Cloud Platform / BigQuery — the infrastructure layer on which DataCore is built.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct first- and second-line troubleshooting across our Windows-based infrastructure.
- Administer and maintain the firm's Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and associated integrations.
- Deliver technology support to investment professionals, senior management and operational staff across the New York office, to a high, proactive service standard.
- Own the end-to-end provisioning and deprovisioning process for all New York-based staff, and maintain accurate records of user status and entitlements.
- Triage, diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues across Windows and Mac environments, escalating to vendors or third-party support where required.
- Maintain the firm's technology asset inventory and manage device lifecycle.
- Configure and maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries and permissions structures, contributing to their ongoing development.
- Maintain meeting room technology, AV equipment and video conferencing systems — operationally critical given the volume of internal and external calls run by our investment teams.
- Document resolutions, maintain configuration records, and develop runbooks for recurring processes, so institutional knowledge is captured systematically.
- Flag security and risk concerns to the Technology Delivery Manager and CTO.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Education & Qualifications
- A degree-level education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration; familiarity with SharePoint configuration and permissions management is an advantage.
Skills & Attributes
- Clear written and verbal communication — this role requires sustained interaction with senior professionals across investment and operational functions.
- Organised and self-directed, with the ability to manage competing priorities without close supervision.
- A genuine interest in technology as a discipline, including current developments in data infrastructure and artificial intelligence.
- A mindset suited to a real development pathway — curious, capability-driven, and ready to grow into more advanced data and AI work over time.
Languages
Fluent English, with superior verbal and written communication skills — essential.
** Base Salary range **:
- USD 70,000 – 80,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus bonus and benefits.
