Join Hiab! We offer a 1.5-year contract in a friendly, supportive environment. This is a great chance to gain practical experience and see firsthand how a major international manufacturing company operates. As a Junior Accountant, you will handle a broad scope of tasks that will accelerate your professional growth. Your primary focus will be end-to-end document processing - handling a diverse range of invoices (especially cost invoices across various tax rates) and company expenses, as well as managing business travel expenses and employee expense settlements.

Key responsibilities

Posting, coding, and verifying diverse invoices and operating the ERP and electronic document flow systems. Settling business travel expenses, company expenditures, and employee settlements. Monitoring accounts payable, tracking payments, and resolving balance discrepancies with vendors. Supporting the Chief Accountant with reconciling sub-ledgers to the general ledger and assisting during inventory counts.

Preparing routine accounting analyses and reports, including monitoring the status of unposted invoices. Archiving documentation and collaborating with other departments to maintain efficient document workflow.

What we are looking for

Minimum secondary education (a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is an advantage). Around 1 year of introductory accounting experience would be advantageous. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and proficiency in MS Office. Communicative English skills (both written and spoken). Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, dependability, and an eagerness to learn.
