POSITION SUMMARY

The VP of Environmental, Safety & Health provides executive-level leadership for all safety initiatives across Metcon. This role sets the vision for the safety department, leads the development of best-in-class programs, and drives cultural excellence to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees, trade partners, and stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Acknowledge and celebrate safety milestones and team achievements.
• Influence peers and subcontractors to uphold Metcon’s safety culture.
• Skillfully negotiate difficult safety situations while preserving relationships.
• Identify measurable improvements and support implementation of innovative practices.
• Negotiate equipment vendor agreements and safety program budgets.
• Maintain a positive outlook to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain and grow a team of safety professionals to support company goals. N o v e m b e r 2 0 2 5 P a g e | 2
• Develop leadership and technical capabilities across the safety team.
• Enhance Metcon’s culture by modeling leadership behaviors consistent with core values.
• Develop safety metrics measuring leading and lagging indicators.
• Design, create, implement, and maintain safety procedures, policies, and training programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

AND REQUIREMENTS

• 15+ years of safety leadership experience
• Strong communication and strategic leadership skills
• Knowledge of OSHA, industry regulations, and field operations
• Ability to work across multiple divisions and executive teams
• Valid driver’s license required Physical Demands and Work Environment Work is primarily performed on active construction sites. This role requires walking, standing, climbing, and working in a variety of weather conditions and rocky and uneven terrain. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, operate construction tools and equipment safely, and communicate effectively with team members and subcontractors.
