Buyer/Quoter Specialist

Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer/Quoter Specialist in its San Jose location! In this role, you will play a key part in supporting customer quoting activities and procurement operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely material sourcing. This role works closely with Sales, Program Management, Engineering, and Operations to develop competitive quotes and support production requirements while maintaining cost, quality, and delivery objectives.

Responsibilities

Prepare and manage customer quotes, including material pricing and cost analysis. Source materials, components, and services from approved suppliers. Request and evaluate supplier quotations, lead times, and pricing. Issue purchase orders and manage supplier communications. Support cost reduction and supplier negotiation initiatives.

Maintain accurate purchasing and quoting data within ERP systems. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support customer and production needs. Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and material availability. Assist with inventory, forecasting, and supply chain planning activities as needed.

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years prior experience in purchasing, quoting, procurement, or supply chain environments preferred. Experience in manufacturing required. EMS a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
