PC Technician - FT/Year-Round (District Itinerant)

TITLE: PC Technician QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma.
2. Pursuing an Associate Degree in Computer Sciences or Information Technology.
3. Knowledge of Windows Operating systems.
4. Knowledge of PC's and related software.
5. Other qualifications as may be deemed essential for successful performance in the position. REPORTS TO: Chief Technology Officer, or Designee. JOB GOAL: To provide assistance with the ongoing development and improvement of the district's technology plan and overall maintenance and operation of the network. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Setups, installs, repairs and reconfigures new and existing PC workstations, Chromebooks and IPADS. Performs workstation exchanges between users. Updates and installs patches to existing software on local workstations. Assists with Help Desk tasks. Maintains hardware placement information through use of inventory tracking software. Provides occasional administrative support to IT Department. Assures timely follow-up on problems and reports them to CTO. Adheres to all organizational policies and procedures. Possess a valid driver's license with a dependable vehicle (mileage will be reimbursed).
6. Perform other such duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Chief Technology Officer, or designee. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve months.

Compensation

and other terms and conditions of employment shall be governed by the School Board. EVALUATION: Performance in this position will be evaluated by the Chief Technology Officer, or designee in accordance with School Board policy. ADOPTED: 10/14/04 Board meeting.
