Linux Systems Administrator

Job Description: Quevera is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph in Linthicum, Maryland . This role supports the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux environments across multiple networks and architectures within a hybrid cloud environment. Working as part of a small team, you will help develop technical solutions, deploy services, and automate processes to support operational needs.

Job Responsibilities

Configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux systems across multiple networks and architectures. Deploy commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and free and open-source software (FOSS) services on Linux systems. Create, debug, and implement automation scripts using Bash, Python, Puppet, and/or Ansible. Support system architecture design and develop solutions to meet organizational needs.

Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Communicate technical issues to team members and service owners. Identify opportunities to automate processes. Minimum Requirements: Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required. Ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional System Administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M, with a minimum IAT Level II certification. Experience administering Linux systems, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Experience deploying COTS/FOSS services on Linux systems. Experience creating, debugging, and implementing automation scripts using Bash, Python, Puppet, and/or Ansible. Experience working with diverse teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Self-motivated, willing to learn new technologies, and able to communicate effectively with team members and service owners.

Desired Skills: Experience with AWS, specifically EC2 Auto Scaling. Experience with AWS CLI and boto3. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and mentor junior staff. Why Join Quevera?
