Aircraft Technology Solutions Manager
Job description
Purpose The Aircraft Technology Solutions Manager is Citadel Aviation's technology advisor in the sales process, across avionics, cabin systems, and connectivity throughout the aircraft. This role works closely with Sales and customers on active pursuits, helping owners and operators understand what is possible for their aircraft, from proven technology available today to what is coming next.
It helps pull together quotes and proposals when needed, and translates customer vision into requirements Engineering can build. This is a customer-facing, deal-paced role: success means being the person Sales wants in the room before a big technology conversation, and getting customers accurate answers quickly, often the same day.
Essential Job Functions Customer and Sales Advisory (Approximately 70%)
- Lead technology discovery with customers and prospects, and shape the technology vision for their aircraft across avionics, cabin, and connectivity.
- Guide customers and Sales through technology options and configurations on active pursuits.
- Help Sales pull together quotes and proposals when needed, with a goal of same-day quotes on common upgrades.
- Design and deliver technology demonstrations for customers and prospects. Engineering Translation and Requirements (Approximately 30%)
- Translate customer vision into validated requirements Engineering can build against, and confirm feasibility before commitments are made.
- Build and maintain the standard configurations, quote references, and demonstration tools that make fast, consistent quoting possible. Who You'll Work With
- Sales leadership, as a close advisory partner on pursuits; this is the role's closest and most constant partnership.
- Customers, as a primary technology point of contact during the sales and definition process.
- Engineering, to hand off well-formed, validated requirements and confirm feasibility.
- Planning and procurement partners, for the cost and schedule inputs behind quotes.
- Program teams, to ensure continuity from sale through delivery. What Success Looks Like
- Consistently used and trusted by Sales on technology-influenced pursuits.
- Requirements handed to Engineering need minimal rework or re-interpretation.
- Sales and customers describe the technology conversation as well-informed and differentiated, not a generic feature walkthrough.
- Customers leave discovery and demonstration conversations with a clear, credible picture of what is possible for their aircraft, not just what is already built.
