Job description
PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION The purpose of this classification is to perform general and specialized law enforcement work in order to preserve public peace, to protect lives, property and rights of the public; and to enforce statutory law and County ordinances. Employees in this classification may be assigned to perform work duties in Court Services, Traffic Investigation, Patrol, Detention and School Resource, Crime Prevention/DARE, Civil Process, Animal Control, or may be assigned as a member of a Special Response Team.
