Housekeeping Facility Supervisor – Night Shift

Facility Supervisor – Night Shift Company: PCMS Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana Schedule: Full/Part-Time, Night Shift Position Summary PCMS is seeking a dependable and hands-on Facility Supervisor to oversee our night-shift cleaning operations throughout the Baton Rouge area. This position is responsible for supervising employees, maintaining staffing coverage, inspecting facilities, communicating with clients, and ensuring every assigned building consistently meets PCMS cleaning and quality standards.

The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, comfortable leading multiple employees and facilities, and willing to assist with cleaning or coverage when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support night-shift cleaning employees across assigned facilities. Conduct routine facility inspections and ensure buildings remain clean, safe, and ready for the client. Maintain strong communication with employees, PCMS leadership, and client representatives. Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, productivity, and uniform compliance.

Ensure employees clock in and out correctly from their assigned facilities. Coordinate staffing coverage for call-outs, vacancies, and unexpected operational needs. Train and coach employees on cleaning procedures, chemical use, equipment operation, and safety expectations. Document performance concerns, attendance issues, inspections, complaints, and corrective actions.

Follow up promptly on client concerns and confirm that identified issues have been corrected. Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment and report ordering or maintenance needs. Complete nightly updates, inspection reports, and other required documentation. Assist with cleaning responsibilities when additional support or emergency coverage is needed.

Travel between assigned facilities throughout the Baton Rouge area. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by PCMS leadership.

Qualifications

Previous supervisory, facility-services, housekeeping, or janitorial experience is preferred. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple facilities and priorities during the night shift. Dependable attendance and the ability to respond quickly to staffing or client concerns.

Basic knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment is preferred. Comfortable using email, mobile applications, timekeeping systems, and digital inspection tools. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel between facilities are required. Must be available to work nights, with occasional weekends or schedule adjustments based on operational needs.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, lift, push, and pull while performing or demonstrating cleaning duties. Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment as required.
