• Social Services, Advocates is seeking a creative, compassionate, and experienced mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to work with a young woman with a developmental disability. In this role, you will assist with the young lady’s goals within the community and home Goals and desired outcomes: Opportunities to exercise Develop independent living skills Improve transition skills between activities to minimize behaviors Teach social skills The individual will also assist with experiencing social, recreational, and physical fitness opportunities in the community and home. The ideal candidate for the DSP position will have effective communication and leadership skills, patience and be reliable. Experience with behaviors and people with developmental disabilities preferred but not required. Please respond with resume or summary of experience. Candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day's time, mileage, and service documentation. DSP must have a valid email address. Hours and days of work: Monday through Friday (8 AM - 4 PM) Full-time opportunities may be available. Pay rate: $25 per hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $16 per hour.
