Staff Accountant

Nova Construction Services is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, reconciliations, vendor management, and financial reporting activities. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice review, vendor communication, expense coding, reconciliations, and payment tracking. Perform bank, credit card, and vendor account reconciliations. Support accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, deposits, payment tracking, and collections follow-up. Assist with weekly payroll processing, payroll reporting, and related filings.

Prepare accounting reports and support month-end close activities. Maintain accurate financial records and assist with audits, insurance documentation, and project requirements. Support accounting process improvements and provide assistance to the Finance team as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 2+ years of accounting experience preferred. Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
