Heavy Equipment Maintenance & Repair Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CAT excavators and dozers including hydraulic systems, undercarriage, and engine systems.

Maintain and repair Terex and Komatsu haul trucks including dump systems, suspension, brakes, and powertrains. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all CAT, Terex, and Komatsu equipment per manufacturer specifications. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly equipment inspections per OEM guidelines. Service and repair tractors, ATVs, and light equipment used for camp operations and transportation.

Maintain diesel engines including CAT, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Komatsu, and Deutz power plants. Service hydraulic systems on excavators, dozers, and haul trucks including pumps, motors, cylinders, and hoses. Perform major overhauls on engines, transmissions, differentials, and final drives for all equipment brands. Diagnose and repair electrical systems including CAT ET, Komatsu KOMTRAX, and Terex diagnostic systems.

Maintain undercarriage components on tracked equipment including track shoes, rollers, idlers, and sprockets. Perform welding and fabrication repairs on heavy equipment frames, buckets, and structural components. Generator & Power Systems Maintenance Service and repair diesel and gasoline generators from 5kW to 200kW+ capacity.

Maintain generator control panels, automatic transfer switches, and electrical distribution systems. Perform load bank testing and ensure proper voltage and frequency regulation. Troubleshoot generator engine problems and electrical output issues. Team Leadership & Supervision Prioritize maintenance activities across all equipment types.

Train junior mechanics on proper repair techniques for CAT, Terex, Komatsu, and other equipment. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Mentor apprentices and helper mechanics in skill development. Foster a positive team culture focused on quality workmanship and safety. Preventive Maintenance Program Develop and implement comprehensive PM schedules for all CAT, Terex, Komatsu, and other equipment.

Track equipment operating hours and schedule service intervals per manufacturer specifications. Maintain detailed maintenance logs using CAT Vision. Link, Komatsu KOMTRAX, or fleet management systems. Monitor equipment performance trends through telematics and diagnostic systems. Conduct oil analysis program and interpret results for engines and hydraulic systems.

Implement manufacturer service bulletins and technical updates for all equipment brands Inventory & Parts Management Work with onsite supply chain management to maintain adequate inventory of critical spare parts for CAT, Terex, Komatsu, and other equipment. Order parts through CAT dealer network, Komatsu parts systems, and aftermarket suppliers.

Track parts usage and maintain inventory records for filters, fluids, belts, hoses, and wear items. Work with onsite supply chain management to coordinate with equipment dealers for emergency parts delivery to remote locations. Manage warranty claims and core returns for CAT, Terex, Komatsu remanufactured components.
