BASIC FUNCTION: Under the supervision of the Referrals Manager, the incumbent is responsible for expediting routine matters necessary to the daily operation of the Referrals Department. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides secretarial support to the Referrals Manager and other staff of the Referrals Department, by performing routine clerical and office functions. Develops and maintains a cohesive, team-oriented atmosphere with physicians, nurses, and ancillary Assists in the preparation of budgets and reports by assisting with department office supplies and Follows through on various program projects as assigned by the Referrals Organizes and maintains various files as directed by Referrals Drafts correspondence for Processes and files all incoming and outgoing department Records minutes for department and collaborative team Serves as a liaison between patients, offsite referral offices and SNHS Conducts follow-ups between referring providers' offices, patients, and insurance companies. Ensures receipt of records from offsite referral offices and conduct follow-ups as necessary with the appropriate Upholds and promotes the value and integrity of the Seneca Nation Health System's mission Will promote SNHS in a positive manner.
- Provides team collaboration through a trauma-informed lens by incorporating key principles of both physical and psychological environment safety, trustworthiness and transparency, collaboration of decision-making during departmental plan developments, empowerment of co-workers by recognizing and building upon individual strengths, as well as recognizing and respecting the diversity of cultural backgrounds and sensitivity. Participates and completes all mandatory staff meetings, trainings, and in- Adheres all policies and procedures of the department, Seneca Nation, and Works to promote cooperative staff efforts to provide and maintain high quality service to patients, physicians, and other staff to assure quality patient care. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Excellent oral and written communication Excellent organization and time management Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Must be computer QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associate's Degree in Office Administration or Business Administration is 2 years of office management experience or related experience, Public speaking and etiquette Experience working in a mental health facility, hospital, medical center, outpatient health care setting, or Indian Health Service (IHS)/tribal health, preferred.
