Scheduling Specialist, Meters
Job description
Overview
The Meters Scheduling Specialist owns scheduling and dispatching for a portfolio in an assigned geographic region. They are the lead Meters point of contact for property and regional contacts and for the field technicians (in-house and subcontractors) working in that region. This is a role for a strong critical thinker who takes ownership of keeping technicians fully and consistently booked.
Responsibilities
Regional Ownership Own scheduling for an assigned region across our client types: subscription plan clients, new construction, and established clients. Make sure all Gold properties are visited each quarter. Manage your own workload by working from your region's work list and letting your Team Lead know when your list is running low so more work orders can be assigned.
Scheduling and Dispatch Choose the technician and visit date for each work order. Plan the most efficient routes each day and keep all work moving efficiently. Schedule all Revenue and Construction work in a timely manner and follow up daily with the team members involved. Keep technicians' schedules full so they have complete working days, using critical thinking and creative, out of the box solutions to book them consistently.
Decide when a technician should travel outside their usual area for work when their current region is light on work, and plan those trips. Meet scheduling efficiency goals. Technician Coordination Coordinate with in-house technicians and subcontractors to manage their schedules. Learn each technician's work habits, skill level, vacation schedule, and traffic patterns to build the best possible schedule.
Review each work order and confirm with the technician and warehouse that all equipment is on hand and ready. Site Communication Communicate with sites through Zendesk and phone to schedule each work order and set up a successful visit. Build relationships with site staff and learn their hours, constraints, and challenges (such as plumbing issues or escort requirements) so you can plan ahead.
Update community notes in Yoda with any site-related challenges. Follow up with sites on delayed scheduling confirmations or work orders needed, and escalate to the Meter Expert Team or Account Management when needed.
Qualifications
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively to keep technicians consistently booked. Field scheduling experience preferred, not required. Zendesk and/or Net. Suite experience preferred, not required. Work Location Hybrid, Tuesday through Thursday in the Logan office.
