Job description

Posting Title: Pediatrician Industry: Hospital Salary: ₹200,000 to ₹250,000 LPM Work Experience: 1+ year --- Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical assessments for infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of acute and chronic pediatric conditions, including respiratory infections, developmental delays, asthma, diabetes, and infectious diseases.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Perform routine immunizations, growth and developmental screenings, and preventive health check-ups.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Provide guidance on nutrition, behavioral health, and age-appropriate developmental milestones to families.
  • Participate in hospital-based pediatric rounds, emergency consultations, and on-call duties as required.
  • Collaborate with specialists (e.g., pediatric cardiologists, neurologists, endocrinologists) for complex cases.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
  • Support pediatric outreach programs and community health awareness campaigns. --- Requirements:
  • MBBS degree with a postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics (MD/DM in Pediatrics) or equivalent.
  • Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and state medical council.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in pediatric care within hospitals, outpatient clinics, or private practice settings.
  • Proven experience managing diverse pediatric cases across varied clinical environments (e.g., general pediatrics, neonatal care, pediatric emergencies).
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills with a focus on patient safety and evidence-based medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with children and their families.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and digital health tools.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to medical ethics and hospital protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and manage multiple patient loads efficiently. --- Additional Information: Working in various settings (e.g., clinics, hospitals, private practice) helps pediatricians gain diverse experience, which enhances their ability to develop skills and adapt to different patient needs.
