By providing patients and internal and external stakeholders with a consistent, efficient, and easy experience, you’ll help ensure that patients at The Oregon Clinic's Gastroenterology East Clinic receive the highest value care tailored to their needs.

Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include: Responsible for training new and existing patient services staff, serving as the first point of contact for staff regarding workflow, policies and procedures, and working closely with the Clinic Supervisor or Manager on providing employee evaluation input.

Working in all areas within the front office, including patient check-in, collecting patient payments, preparing charts, updating medical records, and scheduling patient appointments in an efficient and timely manner. Serves as the point person for any leadership and/or developmental projects within the organization. Updating records as needed.

Other duties as assigned. Salary: Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: $24.78-$33.53 per hour. Workdays: This role is located at the Gateway Medical Office Building in NE Portland. Occasional coverage at the GI

  • Happy Valley Clinic will be required as needed. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, (8:00 am-5:00 pm).

Qualifications

that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including: Minimum of three (3) years of previous medical front office experience is strongly preferred. Specialty care Gastroenterology experience is a plus! Prior experience in Surgery or other complex scheduling is preferred. Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

  • EPIC experience is required. Familiarity with insurance and referral processes. Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask. Excellent attendance and work ethic. Positive attitude and desire to be a team player. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
