• Franklin Furnace, OH, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Category: Health Care, JOB SUMMARY The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for performing health care related tasks within the guidelines of the state of Ohio Board of Nursing and the policy and procedures of The Counseling Center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential functions

1. Provides patient care and nursing services as allowed within the guidelines of the state of Ohio Board of Nursing.
2. Assists with inventory control in health center.
3. Works with other health care staff to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for staff and patients.
4. Assists in maintaining accurate and up to date policies and procedures, protocols, and standing orders as well as compliance issues required by funding, licensure, and certifying bodies.
5. Positively represents the department/agency through appropriate interaction, personal appearance and attitude.
6. Maintains patient confidentiality at all time as required by 42 CFR and HIPAA. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS Secondary functions are duties, which are not exclusive of the position, can be performed by other positions; however, secondary duties are to be performed for the efficiency of Compass Community Health.
7. Assists with office tasks as needed
8. Performs any other duties as assigned by management. COMPETENCIES
9. Knowledge/skill regarding patient/family health care practices across the life span.
10. Ability in the area of effective communication and interpersonal skills with public and co-workers
11. Demonstrates appropriate understanding of working with confidential material and situations
12. Ability to understand and assimilate new information quickly
13. Ability to accurately complete reports, gather statistics, transfer data Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, INCLUDING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
14. Holds and maintains licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN in the state of Ohio.
15. Prior experience working in patient/family health care environment preferred
16. Knowledge about the disease of alcohol addiction preferred
