Bartender

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty drinks, in accordance with the menu and guests’ preferences. Mix ingredients like liquor, soda, juice, and syrups to create a wide variety of drinks. Prepare garnishes, including fruit, herbs, and other decorative elements, to enhance the visual appeal of drinks.

Maintain knowledge of drink recipes and keep up to date with new trends in the bar and cocktail industry. Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations regarding alcohol service, including age restrictions and responsible serving practices. Verify customer identification to confirm legal drinking age when necessary. Follow health and safety standards for food handling, cleaning, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Ensure that all alcohol is stored and handled in accordance with local laws and company policies. Upsell premium liquor, cocktails, or food pairings to enhance guest experience and increase revenue. Assist in developing new drink recipes or specials to keep the menu fresh and exciting for guests.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in mixology, bartending school, or customer service required. Previous experience as a bartender. Previous Experience working in a fast-paced bar or restaurant. Skills : Excellent customer service skills must be friendly and approachable. Strong knowledge of drink recipes, cocktail preparation, and bar equipment.

Ability to multitask and manage multiple drink orders at once while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions. Physical Requirements : Ability to stand for long periods of time and move quickly in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs, including kegs, boxes of bottles, and bar equipment.

Good manual dexterity to mix drinks, operate bar tools, and handle glassware. Ability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
