Job description

We are seeking a creative, compassionate, and student-centered Itinerant Art Therapist to provide therapeutic art services to students across multiple school sites in . Working collaboratively with educators, related service providers, and families, the Art Therapist will use art-based interventions to support students' emotional, behavioral, social, and developmental needs while fostering a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

Provide individual and small-group art therapy services to students across assigned school locations. Conduct assessments to identify students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based art therapy techniques. Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, counselors, special education teams, and families.

Maintain accurate documentation, treatment notes, progress reports, and service logs. Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as appropriate. Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on individual needs. Travel between assigned schools according to the established schedule.

Requirements

Master's degree in Art Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited program. Active Art Therapist credential, registration, or licensure as required by the state. Previous experience working with children or adolescents is preferred. School-based experience is a plus. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to travel between multiple school sites. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
