Paraeducator Specialized Services II

Job Summary

Under direct supervision, perform a wide variety of services associated with the special education instructional program in the classroom and other locations in the school. Employees in this assignment spend a major portion of their time working with pupils in small groups or as tutors on a one-to-one basis. The remainder of the time is spent in preparing instructional materials, and in performing other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

/ Qualifications Previous experience is desirable in working with special education children, as a teacher, with recognized youth groups, or as a volunteer at a school. Must meet the following requirements in order to comply with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA): Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent AND any one of the following: * Completion of 2 years of college at an Accredited Institution of Higher Education (48 units) * Possession of an Associate's Degree or higher degree * Passage of the CBEST exam * Passage of a BUSD approved Paraprofessional Exam Please attach the following document to your application: Copy of Transcript OR Paraprofessional Testing Resume Comments and Other Information Specialized Services (4 positions available) 6 Hours Per Day, Floater This position is up to 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

The assigned work site is to be determined. Start and end times vary based on operational needs and assignment. Typical work hours fall within the following schedule:
