About the Opportunity: As a Material Analyst / MCL Technician, you will work independently in the Material Control Lab.

In the role you will be reviewing material and hardware certifications. You will also be writing PO’s to send Laser and EDM test coupons out to ensure that our machines are cutting properly, and then review the test results upon their return. You will be receiving in hardware that has been ordered and recording in the Cert Log.

, This position is also responsible for printing all Work Orders and Technical Data packages from the weekly Planned Order Report.. As a Lab Technician you will also be processing some Laser Test internally in our Lab. You will be required to obtain your LCS Certification from Pratt & Whitney, we will provide the training internally and then send you for a class and testing at Pratt & Whitney.

You may be required to sit and stand frequently. Location: Eastford, CT This is a full-time role 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Review incoming Material and Hardware Certifications for conformance to our customer specifications Send test coupons and parts out to independent labs for testing to customer requirements Receiving Hardware into our ERP system and assigning internal Cert Numbers to is and recording in our Cert Log Printing Work Orders and Technical Data Packages from our weekly Planned Order Report Processing Test Coupons through our internal lab to ensure that we are meeting customer requirements Enter coupon information in the Testing Log Cut, mount, and polish test pieces Check for cracks Etch then read the coupons under a microscope, looking for surface irregularity and remelt Observes all Company policies, rules and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security Good Organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Must be extremely detail oriented.

Ability to follow documented procedures, work instructions and customer required records Required Qualifications: High School or equivalent Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints, customer specifications and engineering sketches Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to keep accurate records Clear communication skills (verbal and written) Good computer skills including MS Excel and Word Preferred Qualifications: Some Mechanical skills Ability to use some measuring tools and a microscope Willingness to learn new skills Strong computer skills Self-starter/motivated team player Physical Requirements: Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
