Concrete Worker / Carpenter

Description INTECH Process Automation is looking for an experienced Concrete Worker / Carpente r to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team . The successful candidate will be executing formwork, concrete placement, finishing, minor foundations, and embedded-item works supporting instrumentation, ICSS, and industrial facilities.

Ensure work is completed safely and accurately in accordance with approved drawings and instructions.

Key Responsibilities

Construct, install, modify, and remove formwork, shuttering, molds, and temporary supports . Prepare formwork to required dimensions, levels, alignment, plumb, and stability . Support placement and finishing of concrete for foundations, plinths, equipment bases, trenches, and minor structures . Perform concrete mixing, placement, compaction, leveling, screeding, and finishing as instructed.

Install and protect approved embedded items, sleeves, inserts, anchors, and openings . Support minor foundations, equipment bases, cable-route structures, curbs, and civil reinstatement works . Inspect formwork and concrete preparation for dimensions, cleanliness, stability, and readiness before placement. Follow approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and supervisor instructions .

Protect installed instrumentation, cables, ICSS equipment, embedded items, and adjacent facilities during civil works. Assist with concrete repairs, patching, dismantling, and reinstatement as required. Maintain and safely use carpentry, concreting, hand, and power tools . Report defects, damaged materials, dimensional discrepancies, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.

Maintain good housekeeping, material storage, work-area cleanliness, and waste control . Coordinate with Civil Supervisors, Instrumentation/ICSS teams, masons, steel fixers, and other trades . Comply with PTW, HSE, PPE, lifting, work-at-height, housekeeping, and Company requirements .

Requirements

Valid trade/competency certificate for the assigned grade and task; site authorization as required. Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial construction/maintenance, including 1 year on Oil & Gas sites . Hands-on experience in formwork, shuttering, concrete placement, compaction, finishing, and dismantling . Experience with minor foundations, equipment bases, plinths, trenches, and civil reinstatement .

Knowledge of formwork alignment, dimensions, levels, stability, and safe temporary support . Experience handling embedded items, sleeves, inserts, anchors, and openings . Ability to work from basic drawings, dimensions, levels, and approved instructions . Competent in safe use of carpentry, concrete, hand, and power tools .

Experience supporting instrument/ICSS installations and industrial civil works is preferred. Good coordination with Civil, Instrumentation, ICSS, Maintenance, and other site teams . Strong awareness of PTW, HSE, PPE, material handling, housekeeping, and site safety requirements .
