Health Promoter
Job description
The Health Promoter advances community well-being by applying expertise in health promotion within a public health context. Aligned with the Ontario Public Health Standards, the Health Promoter leads and implements evidence-informed strategies, including Education, Capacity and Skill Building, Community and Partner Mobilization, and Social Marketing.
The Health Promoter also supports Population Health Assessments, and Healthy Public Policy. Working with diverse populations, the Health Promoter promotes inclusive, culturally safe practices to address health inequities and the social determinants of health. The role requires skills in population health assessment, program planning and evaluation, effective communication, and cross-sector collaboration.
