Prime Property is looking for an experienced and reliable General Maintenance Handyman to join our Wellington residential property team.
This is a varied role where you'll work across a diverse portfolio, tackle different challenges every day, and see the direct results of your efforts. Whether you're carrying out repairs, preparing properties for new tenants, improving presentation, or working alongside contractors, you'll play an important role in maintaining quality homes for our residents.

Key responsibilities include
General property repairs and maintenance Painting, patching, and basic building repairs Minor plumbing and appliance repairs Preventative maintenance and property inspections Landscaping, gardening, and water blasting Property and room turnarounds Responding to maintenance requests and fault-finding Maintaining accurate maintenance records Working closely with tenants, contractors, and suppliers Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard About You To be successful in this role, you will have: At least 3 years' experience in a maintenance, handyman, facilities, or trade-related role Strong practical skills across a variety of maintenance disciplines Excellent problem-solving abilities A strong commitment to Health & Safety Good communication and customer service skills The ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively Basic computer skills and confidence using mobile technology A current Full New Zealand Driver Licence Desirable Experience Residential property or accommodation experience Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act Experience across multiple trades including painting, carpentry, plastering, or maintenance plumbing About Prime Property Prime Property is a New Zealand-owned property company with interests across residential accommodation, hotels, commercial property, retail centres, industrial assets, and development projects.
