At Corin, we're passionate about improving the lives of patients around the world through innovative orthopaedic technology. From our manufacturing site in Cirencester, we design, produce and supply hip and knee implants to hospitals and surgeons across the globe. We're looking for an Instrument Kitting Assistant to join our Global Supply Chain team.
This role combines hands-on activities with a significant amount of computer-based administration and system work. If you're comfortable using IT systems, enjoy working accurately with data and have experience in a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Be Doing This role is responsible for ensuring surgical instrument kits are accurately built, maintained, tracked and available when required by hospitals and surgeons.
While there is an element of physical warehouse work, a large part of the role involves using computer systems to manage stock, process returns, update records and ensure inventory accuracy.
Key responsibilities include
Building and checking surgical instrument kits used in hip and knee replacement procedures. Processing returned instruments and implants, ensuring all records are updated correctly. Using Sage and Corin's internal Mestech system to track inventory, process transactions and maintain accurate stock records. Updating system information accurately and in a timely manner.
Allocating instrument sets and components using company systems. Investigating stock discrepancies and helping resolve inventory issues. Operating instrument washers to clean returned instrument sets. Using Kardex storage systems to retrieve and store stock. Working closely with other departments to ensure instrument kits are available when needed.
Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused and confident working with computer systems as well as carrying out warehouse activities. You will ideally have: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or supply chain environment. Good computer skills and confidence using multiple systems throughout the day.
Experience updating stock records, processing transactions or working with inventory systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. The ability to identify and resolve problems proactively. Good communication skills and a collaborative approach. A flexible attitude and willingness to learn new processes and systems.
