Field Service Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION: Field Maintenance Technician REPORTS TO: Field Service Manager FLSA STATUS: Salary, Exempt PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB AND CONTRIBUTION TO ORGANIZATION: Field service technician is adept at installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment and systems. It involves intricate knowledge of specific technologies and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The employee will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities requested by the supervisor. Job duties may change as required by needs of company. Display passion and willingness to provide best in class support to our customers on Interroll products and systems installed at our end user customer’s locations Experience dealing with electro-mechanical faults and failures Understand the importance of providing preventative maintenance services Participate in site-related meetings when requested by the customer or Interroll Field Service Management Provide emergency and maintenance support Achieve KPI performance standards for efficiency and quality of repair Interaction with on-site management, keeping them informed of repair and maintenance progression as well as addressing their concerns in a professional manner Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and work with electrical circuit diagrams Ability to follow set up instructions, assembly drawings and check lists Ensure that reports completed after the service work as been completed and submitted to the Field Service Manager Hold regular meetings with the Field Service Manager to discuss activities and progress Ensure that all spares usage issues are logged accurately and timely with the customer and the Interroll parts sales team Ensure that supplied tools and equipment are well cared for and are always in a presentable / usable condition Ensure that all timesheets and documentation are correct, reflect accurate job hours, and are submitted to the Field Service Manager on weekly basis for approval Willing to travel as and where needed Able to pass a company physical and lift between 50-100 pounds.

Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues effectively. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Possess and display Interroll’s Values at all times: Customer, Execute Excellence, People, Accountability and Global Collaboration. Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to read assembly drawings Excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers Computer literate with basic Microsoft Office skills Minimum 6 years’ experience in a relevant industry or services Valid driving license Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing Proven track record working independently and on customers sites Passport or ability to obtain passport Adhere to Interroll’s company values and display professional etiquette at all times Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues effectively.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires constant standing, use of hands and fingers and eye-hand coordination. This position requires frequent reaching with hands and arms, and occasional sitting, walking, talking, hearing, and turning or bending at waist. Incumbent must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 75 pounds.

Good close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well depth perception and the ability to see colors and adjust focus are required. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. This position works indoors in a manufacturing (warehouse) environment. Must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold.

This position is occasionally exposed oil, grease or dirt, and to the risk of electrical shock. A loud noise level is typical for the work environment of this job. Potential Next Role(s) Senior Field Maintenance Technician Field Service Manager
