Gateway Family Program

Program Overview Gateway Family is an innovative talent pathway for family members of Jet. Blue crewmembers who are seeking to become pilots at Jet. Blue. This program will allow a successful applicant to earn all certificates/ratings and gain valuable experience as a pilot at an approved airline and then come to Jet.

Blue as a First Officer after meeting all program and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements. Upon successful completion, candidates will go through the orientation and six-week training program for First Officers. Candidates have five (5) years from acceptance into the program to complete all program requirements.

Essential Responsibilities Complete flight training and earn certificates/ratings at a training location of the candidate’s choosing Employment at a partner airline or Part 121 regional airline to meet all time and experience requirements New Hire Training as a Jet. Blue First Officer The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position Minimum Requirements Eligible applicants must not possess any certificates/ratings beyond a Commercial certificate upon beginning the program.

Eligible applicants must not exceed more than 500 hours total time upon beginning the program. Must be a child/stepchild, spouse, sibling or parent of a Jet. Blue crewmember Jet. Blue crewmember must be in active status and have at least one (1) year of employment at Jet. Blue. Jet. Blue crewmember must be in good standing (not on any form of progressive guidance) at time of family member’s application.

Must successfully complete the entire selection process, including application and interview Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located. Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants previously accepted into a Jet. Blue Gateway program are not eligible to apply.

Upon completion of program, must have the ability to meet all requirements in Jet. Blue’s Pilot Trainee requisition.
