Superintendent Manager, Cut and Sew

• Hickory, NC, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Day, Summary Job Description The Cut and Sew Superintendent Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of a Cutting and a Sewing Department.

Essential Duties

Manage all aspects of Cut and Sew departments with the assistance of managers Maintain quality control standards, safety standards, and labor efficiencies Work closely with the upholstery floor to resolve any quality or production issues Identify and address fabric and leather issues working through our Purchasing Department Must follow all safety policies and procedures All other duties as assigned Qualifications: Position Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred 5 years+ as a Cut and Sew Superintendent in an upholstered furniture factory Ability to work with all levels of the company Excel, Word, and SAP skills are required Technical knowledge of cutting and sewing operations Knowledge of Fabric and Leather standards Excellent written and oral communication skills Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques Physical Requirements The physical demands and work environment expectations described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
