Childcare Assistant Teacher (FT)

POSITION SUMMARY

An Assistant at Blue Ridge Montessori School is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment for all students. This individual will work together with a Lead Guide and in conjunction with the entire faculty and staff.

Essential Functions

Statement(s) Build secure relationships with all children. Report accidents, illnesses, and unusual behavior of children to lead Guide immediately. Ensure that all students have necessary materials for class activities and day-to-day learning. Work with students individually or in small groups for extension or remediation.

Enforce school rules and policies. Supervise students in various settings including classrooms and playgrounds. Provide care for students of all ages, as needed. Attend staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions. SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: High School Diploma/GED Equivalent, preferred. Experience: Educational or childcare experience, preferred.

Certifications & Licenses: CPR Certification, preferred. Ability to pass a background check.
