Banquet Attendant

Key Responsibilities

Set up banquet and meeting venues according to event requirements and function details. Arrange tables, chairs, linens, tableware, glassware, and other banquet equipment. Prepare function rooms before the arrival of guests and ensure all areas are clean and presentable. Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.

Serve food and beverages according to hotel service standards. Assist with buffet setup, coffee breaks, meeting refreshments, and other event requirements. Ensure food and beverage items are replenished promptly during functions. Respond to guest requests courteously and communicate special requirements to the supervisor.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas throughout each function. Clear tables and remove used equipment efficiently during and after events. Assist with the breakdown and resetting of function rooms after events. Handle banquet equipment, furniture, glassware, and operating supplies carefully to minimize damage and loss.

Communicate and coordinate with Kitchen, Stewarding, Engineering, Housekeeping, and other relevant departments when required. Follow food hygiene, sanitation, safety, and hotel operating procedures. Report guest feedback, operational issues, equipment damage, or maintenance concerns to the supervisor. Maintain professional grooming, appearance, and behavior while on duty.
