Full-time Housekeeper

2141 North Dan Jones Road, Avon, Indiana 46123 Job Description The Housekeeper shall be responsible for cleaning common living areas and resident apartments in the community.

Responsibilities

Oversee cleaning of the entire facility, with particular emphasis on common areas and apartment bathrooms. Complete maintenance request reports when needed. Report deterioration or damage to the building and furnishings to the housekeeping supervisor. Operate laundry equipment when needed. Report inadequate quantities of supplies needed to perform duties to the housekeeping supervisor.

Use only approved cleaning products and ensure all cleaning supplies are properly stored at all times. Clean office areas when assigned. Dust and clean all window blinds throughout the community. Dust all furniture, bookshelves, and other furnishings in resident apartments and common areas. Vacuum common areas and resident apartments.

Keep common area and resident bathrooms clean. Clean apartments upon resident move-out. Attend required in-services and staff meetings. Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality at all times. Follow all policies regarding the release of resident information. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED. Housekeeping experience highly desired. Ability to understand verbal and written instructions. Ability to complete assignments thoroughly and on time. Ability to work well with others as part of a team. Must be polite and courteous to all residents, visitors, coworkers, and members of the management team.

Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, grasp, push, and pull for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 25 pounds and carry heavy objects for up to 20 feet. Must wear the designated uniform during work hours and maintain good personal hygiene. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
