Shift Technical Operator

We are looking for a motivated and technically minded Shift Technical Operator to join our Production team in Wrexham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical or electrical background who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in operating, monitoring and maintaining production equipment while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and operational performance.

What you'll be doing Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to achieve production and quality targets. Carry out routine quality inspections and take corrective action where required. Support equipment changeovers, line conversions and production trials. Assist with fault finding and support maintenance activities.

Use production systems and statistical process control tools to monitor manufacturing performance. Maintain excellent housekeeping, hygiene and 6S standards. Work collaboratively with Process Leaders, Technicians and Shift Managers to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency. Promote and maintain a strong safety culture at all times.

What we're looking for

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering. Mechanical and/or Multiskill engineering skills. Experience working with production or manufacturing machinery. Good understanding of health and safety practices within an industrial environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Good written and verbal English communication skills.
