Lead Engineer - Mechanical

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using industry-standard CAD tools. Create and maintain 3D models, sheet metal designs, assemblies, and detailed 2D engineering drawings. Apply GD&T standards and perform tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure design robustness. Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) initiatives.

Conduct DFMEA activities and identify potential product risks and mitigation plans. Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes based on product requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and project management. Manage engineering data, revisions, and product releases using PDM/PLM systems.

Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Product Development (NPD) activities. Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, regulations, and quality requirements. Prepare and maintain accurate engineering documentation throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

4-7 years of experience in mechanical design and product development. Hands-on experience in designing components using: Stamping Plastic Injection Molding Machining Processes Proficiency in: CATIA Creo SolidWorks Experience in PDM/PLM systems and product lifecycle management. Strong understanding of: Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis DFM/DFA Methodologies DFMEA Sound knowledge of manufacturability considerations for plastic and sheet metal components.

Experience working with NPI/NPD processes and product compliance requirements. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Quality-focused mindset with strong attention to detail and documentation standards.
