Surgical Technologist

Description The Operating Room Technician or "scrub" technician is that health team member specifically involved with the instrumentation and technical aspects of the operative event.

Requirements

• Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing and arranging surgical instruments and supplies
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment
• Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly and ready for use
• Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures and supplies used
• Follow strict infection control protocols and safety standards
• Assist with patient positioning and comfort before and after procedures
• Support the surgical team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment Skills and Qualifications:
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential
• Prior experience in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting preferred
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization techniques, and aseptic procedures
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment under pressure
• Good communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
