Temporary Piping Plover Roving Monitor

Title: Temporary Piping Plover Roving Monitor VP Area: Academic Affairs Department: College of Arts & Sciences Published Salary Range: $17.00 Job Summary/Basic Function: Roving Monitor will assist the Piping Plover Lead by traveling to Piping Plover nest sites as needed to relieve monitors, provide coverage while monitors are away, and conduct nest searches in new potential sites.

Minimum Qualifications

Current student at LSSU and have worked at least one field season as Piping Plover Monitor in the EUP Preferred Qualifications: n/a Physical Demands: Walking up to 14 miles in all weather over uneven ground while carrying a backpack up to 30 pounds. Use of binoculars and spotting scope. Sitting up to 3 hrs in a car to travel to field sites. Work Hours: Variable
