• Redding, CA, Salary Range: $80000.00 - $90000.00Salary/year, Who We Are We are a growing paving, concrete, and earthwork contractor seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. We specialize in site development, grading, excavation, underground utilities, concrete construction, asphalt paving, and public and private infrastructure projects. This position offers an opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects while collaborating with project managers, field supervisors, subcontractors, and clients throughout every phase of construction. Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs for earthwork, concrete, asphalt, and site development projects Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and contract documents Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration Support project managers with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation Coordinate with field personnel to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget Track project costs and assist with monthly reporting Participate in preconstruction meetings and site visits Qualifications: Experience in estimating, project engineering, or project management within the construction industry Knowledge of grading, excavation, paving, and concrete construction practices Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Experience with estimating software is preferred Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Valid driver's license and reliable transportation With 5+ years of experience salary can be negotiable Preferred Experience Heavy civil construction Site development Public works projects Commercial paving Utility and infrastructure construction Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health insurance Paid vacation and holidays Retirement plan Professional development and advancement opportunities
