Barings Real Estate Australia (BREA) is seeking an outstanding candidate to join the Portfolio Management function as an Analyst. This role reports to the Head of Investment Management, BREA (Sydney).
A successful candidate for the role will have a desire to succeed in portfolio management and have the capability to work in a dynamic team environment with multiple global internal and external stakeholders. The role has long-term opportunities for progression and development within the organisation. Primary Responsibilities Engage with Australian and global colleagues to assist and execute on product launches and growth initiatives across APAC funds and separate managed accounts (SMA’s).
Support fund raising for equity and debt funds and SMA’s. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of all regularly scheduled and ad-hoc marketing materials such as pitch books and fact sheets. Point of contact for client queries managing multiple work streams, RFP deliverables, ad-hoc data requests, maintaining a client data room and assisting with onboarding requirements.
Collaborate with multiple business units: Investment Team, Asset Management, Development Management, Finance, Sales, Client Portfolio Management, Product Management, Portfolio Management, Legal, Compliance, Structuring and Global team members to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data and deliverables. Produce portfolio reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual): work closely with Portfolio Managers, investment professionals, accountants, research, and systems/IT staff to collect, analyze and review investment level and portfolio level information.
Support quarterly reporting, quarterly update calls, advisory board meetings, ad-hoc queries, etc. Assist portfolio management and senior leadership with internal reporting and business strategy. Create and maintain production workflow reports - tracking activity, prospecting, deliverables, fundraising trends, competitor analysis.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, sales, communications, or related field. 0-3 years of relevant work experience. Strong written and communication skills for preparing presentations, reports, and proposals. Relationship management skills and team player with a can-do attitude, drive, high level of integrity, professionalism, pride in quality of work, and takes ownership of tasks.
