• Cincinnati, OH, Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.00Hourly, Line Cook – Job Description Location: Forno Osteria & Bar Montgomery This is as close as it gets without taking a plane. Our handcrafted menu is rustic and comforting. We have sourced the highest quality local and imported Italian ingredients we could find. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality menu items while maintaining the standards of authentic Italian cuisine. This role works closely with the Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, and kitchen team to ensure dishes are prepared accurately, efficiently, and presented to the restaurant’s quality standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Work with fresh ingredients, including handmade pasta and traditional Italian dishes. Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service (mise en place). Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.

Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times. Coordinate with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure timely service. Assist with food prep, portioning, and inventory rotation. Ensure dishes meet restaurant quality and presentation standards before leaving the kitchen. Complete opening and closing duties, including cleaning and organizing storage areas.

Support and assist other team members during busy service periods.

Qualifications

Qualifications Previous experience in a full-service restaurant kitchen preferred. Knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment. Strong knife skills and ability to work with various cooking methods. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.

Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Work Environment Fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. Requires standing for extended periods and working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
