WashU Bursky School of Public Health Call for Faculty Positions at the Intersection of AI and Population Science
Job description
The Bursky School of Public Health is interested in hiring faculty members, at all ranks, whose scholarship is at the intersection of AI and population health science. Areas of potential interest could include, but may not be limited to, the innovative use of AI towards advancing aging and longevity science, health systems, and food and nutrition.
A central feature of the Bursky school is a commitment to local and global impact. The school has infrastructure, particularly, the Public Health Action Labs, funded as part of the school’s naming gift, that create the functional capacity—through policy development, economic analysis, communication, and implementation—to allow ideas to become action that improves the health of the public.
All faculty are also supported by an Office of Innovation that works with faculty on enterprise development, the creation of an innovation ecosystem, and on supports with their data and analysis to the end of producing science of consequence. We are therefore looking for outstanding scholars who align with this vision, and whose scholarship can contribute to people living longer, healthier lives, and who are drawn to research that reaches beyond the academy into policy, practice, and the public conversation.
All potential candidates are encouraged to submit a cover letter that specifies the position of interest and how their background makes them suited for the position. Questions may be directed to SPHFaculty. Affairs@wustl.edu.
