  • Fort Worth, TX, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Summary: The BOP Facility Manager is responsible for the supervision of the maintenance, health/safety sanitation, local transportation, and food service components of facility operations and to meet the requirements outlined in the VOA-TX Policies and Procedures and contractual requirements. This position will provide direct supervision to the Lead Residential Monitors Staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Monitors the procurement and inventory of housekeeping, maintenance and food supplies. Supervises cleanliness of the physical plant and the surrounding grounds. Directs supervision of facility services and staff which include food service, maintenance, and janitorial personnel Assists in maintaining and responding to the reporting requirements of the funding agencies as related to physical plant and grounds.

Responsible for inventory, care and disbursement of all facility linen. Works as liaison between the facility and all authorized vendors. Maintains Haz. Com Notebook, Life/Safety Compliance Book, chemical index system. Monitors the inventory, care, and disbursement of all absconded client belongings to ensure outdated property is properly disposed of.

Schedules monthly fire drills and performs inspection and maintenance of facility fire extinguisher. Disposes of all medications left by clients that absconded; handles according to the guidelines set forth in the policy and procedures manual. Responsible for the upkeep and preventative maintenance of all agency vehicles.

Submits maintenance reports as required. Performs on-call duties as scheduled. Financial Management Ensures management of the program’s resources within budget. Reviews and approves expenditures within budgetary guidelines. Within the scope of responsibility, adheres to budget guidelines, including expenditures, billing for services, P-Card documentation, etc.

Staff Management Supervises, supports, motivates, and empowers the members of his/her team. Ensures that all departmental human resources responsibilities are met: interviewing, hiring, firing, staff training, assigning and directing work, rewarding and disciplining staff, conducting evaluations Promotes an organizational culture that fosters passion for the mission, cooperation, open and frequent communication, teamwork, and a common organizational vision.

Builds cross functionality among service team members and other departments. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages and supervises front line employees Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these employees as it relates to the facility. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

OTHER Time commitment: 40+ hours per week Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends (flexible work scheduling to meet needs of organization/clients) Some travel may be required Criminal and educational background check Approval from BOP to work with Federal clients, if applicable Must use personal (non-agency) vehicle for transportation If driving frequently for VOA-TX business: MVR background check (good driving record) Valid Texas driver’s license Proof of Insurance Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and must successfully complete any required training and acquire any required certifications within prescribed timeframes.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field plus two years related work experience, two years of which are in a supervisory position OR At least minimum five years of facility manintiance work. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must secure Food Manager’s certification within prescribed timeframe. Valid Texas Drivers License and ability to be insured.
