This is an excellent opportunity for a recent PhD graduate to apply advanced academic training to real-world industrial challenges. The role will focus on developing analytical methodologies to understand the behavior of complex fluids and multi-phasic systems. The researcher will investigate surface and interfacial phenomena, bulk flow properties, product stability, performance, and sensory characteristics.

Key Responsibilities

Develop advanced analytical methods and protocols for characterizing complex fluids and multi-phasic systems, including emulsions, dispersions, and foams . Conduct bulk and interfacial rheology studies to evaluate flow behavior, yield stress, thixotropy, and viscoelastic properties of formulations. Perform surface and interfacial tension measurements using Wilhelmy plate, Du Noüy ring, and pendant drop tensiometry techniques.

Investigate surfactant behavior, emulsification processes, self-assembly mechanisms, and stabilization dynamics within colloidal systems. Analyze and interpret complex physical chemistry data and translate scientific findings into clear, actionable recommendations. Collaborate with formulation scientists and cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges related to product performance, application, and durability.

Conduct literature reviews and monitor emerging technologies and research developments in colloid, interface, and physical chemistry . Required Qualifications Recently completed PhD in Physical Chemistry, Colloid Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related field. Strong knowledge of complex fluid characterization and the relationship between microstructure and macroscopic properties.

Hands-on experience with tensiometry techniques , including Wilhelmy plate, Du Noüy ring, and pendant drop methods. Strong understanding and practical experience with interfacial rheology , including oscillating drop/bubble and bicone methodologies. Strong knowledge of surfactant science, self-assembly, colloidal systems, and stabilization mechanisms .
