We’re looking for a driven and experienced Underground Utility Surveyor to join a growing utilities team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in utility detection and topographical surveys, who’s eager to develop further within a supportive and professional environment. You'll work on a variety of high-profile projects, apply your technical skills, and play a key role in delivering accurate, high-quality survey data to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out underground utility detection surveys to PAS 128 standards Conduct large-scale topographical surveys to support utility mapping accuracy Process survey data and produce high-quality drawings using CAD and relevant software Ensure timely delivery of project outputs in line with client specifications Mentor junior team members and support apprenticeship development Maintain compliance with health, safety, and quality procedures on all sites Requirements Requirements: 4+ years of experience in utility and topographical surveying Strong knowledge of GPR, Cat & Genny, Leica Total Stations, AutoCAD, and N4ce Proven ability to independently manage and deliver complex surveys Understanding of commercial aspects of survey delivery HNC/ONC in a relevant discipline or equivalent field experience Minimum 2 A-Levels (or equivalent) and 5 GCSEs (grade A-C or equivalent, including English and Maths) Member or Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors What We’re Looking For: High attention to detail and strong quality assurance mindset Ability to work independently, plan effectively, and manage deadlines Clear communicator with strong interpersonal and client-facing skills Positive, team-oriented attitude with a growth mindset Physically fit and comfortable working in various outdoor environments Additional Requirements: Full, clean UK driving licence Valid CSCS or ECTIB card Benefits Benefits: Competitive salary 21 days holiday + bank holidays (plus option to buy more) Extra day off for your birthday Company pension scheme Quarterly bonus for meeting achievable targets Employee Assistance Programme Paid professional memberships Company-provided PPE and branded workwear Cycle to Work Scheme Christmas gift vouchers Free flu jabs
