Summary: Full-Time (40 hrs/wk) Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep on Furniture Mart USA owned and operated properties. Complete assigned work orders in a timely and efficient manner, prioritizing tasks as directed by the Facilities Services Manager. Follow established schedules and workflows for repetitive maintenance activities.

Identify basic maintenance and repair needs and report them to the Facilities Services Manager. Follow existing standards, policies, and procedures, and suggest improvements when appropriate. Participate in training on facility maintenance and proper safety techniques. Assist with preventative maintenance for all facilities and equipment.

Perform HVAC PMs, and light electrical. Travel as needed. Log completed work and update information in a facilities management software like Asset Essentials, FiiX, MaintainX, Service Channel or similar software Requirements/Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; 1+ years of general maintenance, handyman, or related experience preferred Basic working knowledge of building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (MED card) preferred; experience operating light/medium duty equipment (trucks, forklifts, skid steers, etc.)

The employee is continuously required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to push, pull, reach and/or work overhead. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 150 pounds. Some circumstances may require the need to perform this on a continuous basis. Frequently, must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull weights of approximately 5-25 lbs.

In addition, the employee is occasionally required to sit, bend, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb a 10-foot high ladder. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
