Coordinator Volunteer Engagement

In Volunteer and Guest Services at Main Campus Lee Building Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, Monday -Friday 8:30-5:00. Summary: Volunteer Engagement Coordinators are responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities and responsibilities associated with the Volunteer Services Department. Coordinators remain engaged with the volunteer throughout their time serving at Children’s of Alabama and seek to ensure volunteers have a positive experience within our program.

Other information: Education

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience working with volunteer programs or social services organizations is preferred. Experience
• Supervisory experience in a health care or social services field and experience in interacting with diverse groups of people. Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
• None required. Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications: Education with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential: * High School Diploma Graduate or Equivalent Nonessential: * Bachelors of Science or Arts Experience with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential: * 0 Year job experience as Supervisor Level with specialization in the field of Social Work Volunteer and Guest Services strive to create a welcoming experience for every visitor that enters our building. Our Patient and Guest Information Representatives are the first point of contact for many of our visitors as they enter the facility. Their role is to help guide and direct our visitors. Hospital volunteers help staff create an environment that eases the stress of patients and families during hospitalization and clinic visits. The Gift Shop on Main is a full-service gift shop featuring many items for patients including plush toys and pillows, books, games, puzzles, and more.
