Therapist

Position Summary

The Child Therapist provides therapeutic services to children and youth experiencing emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges. The role includes conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, providing individual and family therapy, and coordinating supportive mental health services. The therapist works as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure children and families receive high‑quality, timely, and evidence‑based care.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments of children’s mental health, trauma, social, family, and developmental history. Develop diagnostic impressions and provide treatment recommendations.

Provide individual, family, and group therapy using approved curricula and evidence‑based treatment models. Create and maintain individualized treatment plans in accordance with program and regulatory standards. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team—including case managers, psychiatrists, and support specialists—to ensure coordinated care.

Required Skills

Knowledge of child development, trauma‑informed care, and evidence‑based therapeutic approaches. Strong skills in active listening, assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment planning (consistent with clinical requirements in similar roles) Ability to build rapport with children and families from diverse backgrounds.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organization, documentation, and time‑management abilities. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced clinical environment.

Qualifications
