Diesel Mechanic

**Key Responsibilities**

Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other mechanical components. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems efficiently. Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies as needed.

**Qualifications**

High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or similar role. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required. Work Environment This position involves working in a garage or outdoor environment, often in varying weather conditions.
