Warehouse/Retail Associate

Description Reports to: Re. Store Manager About the Role The Re. Store Associate supports daily store operations, helping shoppers, donors, and volunteers. This includes assisting customers, processing and moving merchandise, organizing donations, and supporting volunteers. Associates also drive Re. Store trucks to pick up donations, load/unload items, and serve as ambassadors of Habitat for Humanity's mission to build homes, communities, and hope!

Key Responsibilities

Deliver excellent customer service to shoppers and donors Drive donation truck Load/unload both large and small donations safely Screen donations, thank donors, complete paperwork Receive, price, and organize donated items Maintain clean, safe, and inviting store and warehouse spaces Operate the cash register as needed Lead and support volunteers Work Environment Retail store, warehouse, and on-the-road (in all weather).

Noise and physical activity are frequent.

Requirements

Valid NYS Driver’s License and insurable driving record, require Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly, heavier with assistance Retail and customer service experience preferred Ability to communicate effectively in English, multilingual is a plus Comfortable standing, bending, and moving throughout the day High school diploma or equivalent required
